Days 1-5: The Usambara Trek
Day 1-2: Lushoto Immersion
Arrival and an introduction to Lushoto. Market or project visits are included only when arranged in advance.
Day 3: Rangwi Rainforest
Climb through protected rainforest to Rangwi village.
Day 4: Trek to Mtae
Walk through traditional farming villages to Mtae. Sunset with views of plains.
Day 5: Community Day
A community visit may be included when invited and arranged in advance, with the host’s needs taking priority.
Days 6-9: Indian Ocean & Zanzibar
Day 6: Pangani Beach
Travel to Pangani for a coastal stay. The onward transfer to Zanzibar is confirmed according to the chosen route and current schedules.
Day 7: Stone Town
Continue to Zanzibar and explore Stone Town’s markets, architecture and history with confirmed local arrangements.
Day 8: Spice Tour
A spice-farm visit and local lunch may be arranged, followed by coastal time if conditions are suitable.
Day 9: Departure
Final beach moments, shopping in Stone Town, and transfer to airport/ferry.
