Usambara Destination is a local cultural safari and tour company that operates its services in the heart of Usambara Mountains and the North Eastern Tanzanian two major national parks. Usambara Mountains, from which our company gets its name, are situated in the North Eastern part of Tanzania and between Mount Kilimanjaro and the Indian Ocean.
Our mission is to promote sustainable eco-tourism in the Usambara Mountains and Tanzania North Eastern circuit. In addition, some of our profits support the environment and community in our operation area, particularly young people in their education and health.
We also support Irente Children's Home—where our Director (the founder of Usambara Destination) grew up. We strongly believe in the power of giving back as our director is a living example as he grew up in an orphanage and later joined The Foundation For Tomorrow, a non-profit that believes in the power of education to improve lives of communities in Tanzania.
